Dr. Mohamed Alhaj is a sustainable energy expert and the Founder & Managing Director of Terra Energy - a boutique youth-led consulting firm based in Rwanda. With over a decade of experience across Africa and the MENA region, he has led climate and energy advisory work for UN agencies, DFIs, and international NGOs, including UNCTAD, AFD, BRD, KfW, GIZ, and the European Commission. His expertise spans climate finance, renewable energy policy, project development, and technical assistance. He is currently the Deputy Team Leader for the Climate Finance Advisory Services Project for Ireme Invest - implemented for BRD. Mohamed holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy and has contributed to major international publications, investment strategies, and clean energy projects in fragile and emerging markets. His mission is to drive inclusive and climate-resilient energy transitions by bridging strategy with implementation.
