Richard Ndicunguye is a dedicated professional serving as the Senior Assistant for Adaptation & Green Cities at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Rwanda. Holder of a master’s degree in urban management and development with over a decade of professional experience, Richard’s work has been in Urbanization & Human Settlement, Environment and Climate Change Policies, Strategies and Implementation. At GGGI, he supports the implementation of climate resilience and sustainable urban development initiatives, contributing to Rwanda’s green growth agenda. He spearheaded green urbanization initiatives across Rwanda's Secondary Cities, delivering measurable outcomes in Climate-Resilient Urban Development. His portfolio cuts across Green and Climate-Resilient Cities, Sustainable Mobility, as well as Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI). Beyond his professional responsibilities, Richard is passionate about exploring new places, singing, jogging, cycling, and spending quality time with his family. His hobbies reflect a deep appreciation for nature, wellness, and cultural discovery.
