As Director of Business Development and Partnerships at The Challenges Group, Shaun directed the Denis Goldberg Scholarship Programme, supporting scholars from Rwanda, Zambia and Ghana to complete remote master’s degrees and build professional networks within the renewable energy sector. Through programmes including RISE/E and Youth to Work, he has helped support more than 600 SMEs to create nearly 900 jobs, while enabling over 450 young graduates across Ghana, Zambia and Uganda to build their skills and secure employment. Shaun has co-created and secured more than $5 million in new programmes and partnerships across Africa. A passionate advocate for lifelong learning, he has led Challenges’ partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) for the past eight years, strengthening leadership and management skills across priority sectors, including renewable energy. This work contributed to Challenges being recognised as a finalist for CMI’s Innovation Training Partner of the Year (2021) and Outstanding Training Partner of the Year (2023).
